1) What is BoCon?

BoCon is an event in Boise, Idaho to promote Open-Source Culture among artists, musicians and software developers.


2) What will happen at BoCon 2006?

BoCon will consist of a number of exhibits, shows and speaking events. Basically, it will be a bunch of crazy artists, hackers and musicians getting together to learn about Open-Source, exchange information and have fun.


3) Why is it called 'BoCon'?

BoCon is short for Boise Conference. The Con part refers to other hacking conferences such as DefCon or HoHoCon. However, we align ourselves more with the Open-Source movement than with hacking.

Many of the benefits and lessons learned from sharing and collaborating in the Open-Source software movement apply well to digital art and music.


7) How do I get involved in BoCon?

Just email or call us and tell us what you are interested in. We are looking for help and contributions in all areas of BoCon. If you would like to present your art, music or software and release it under an Open-Source or Creative Commons license please let us know. We would be happy to have you. You may even be able to get some money to work on a project for BoCon.


8) What will it cost to attend BoCon 2006?

Attending BoCon is free. The VAC will have food and drink for sale.
