Sharing and Collaborating for Fun and Profit

Abstract

This talk will discuss Open-Source culture and the benefits of an Open-Source approach to building a career as an independent musician, artist or software developer. It will be shown how shared digital works can be used as a marketing tool and enabler for entering highly competitive and otherwise prohibitive markets. Finally, the talk will discuss collaboration as an essential piece to the puzzle.
